OOIDA seeks to utilize next highway bill to reform regulation of industry

Truckers face regulations today that are still based on 1930s rationale – and plenty of other regs that have been added over the years.

The current agency that regulates trucking, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, inherited a lot of those regulations and has added a fair amount of their own along the way since 2000.
