OOIDA Call to Action Alert - port issues

Access to the nation's ports is becoming a significant issue. As more ports on the west-coast attempt to deal with environmental concerns related to port trucking operations, your ability to gain reasonable access is at risk. OOIDA is aware that many of its members are "infrequent visitors" to the nation's ports as part of their long-haul trucking operations. Your assistance in completing an on-line survey can help the Association better represent your interests in maintaining access without unreasonable burden.

OOIDA, Marine Port Survey

Thank you for taking the time to fill out our survey. We appreciate your support!

The other deal is you may not be able to even go into CA if you have a spread axle trailer that does not have a sliding axle to make it a standard and then held to the 34 thousand rule per set of tandems. We have been informed we will not be allowed to enter unless we have a CA spread trailer. We will no longer be going to CA either. They don't want certain things, and now they want 11 Bil in help. Whats with that.
