The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association Inc. and C.R. England Inc. announced Monday, June 2, a settlement in a case regarding compliance with federal regulations governing the leasing relationship between motor carriers and truck owner-operators, thus bringing an end to 11 years of legal action related to this issue.
In June 2002, OOIDA and three OOIDA members filed a class action lawsuit against the Salt Lake City-based motor carrier in federal court on behalf of individual owner operators, alleging that England violated the federal “Truth-in-Leasing” regulations.
