Famed comedian and beloved “Saturday Night Live” cast member Norm Macdonald has passed away at the age of 61. Macdonald was reportedly privately battling cancer for nine years before his passing.

A friend of Macdonald’s, Lori Jo Hoekstra, said the “Weekend Update” anchor “had been fighting cancer for nearly a decade but was determined to keep his struggle away from family, friends and fans,” The New York Post reported.

I loved Norm. His build up of a joke and delivery of the punch line was slow and methodical. Nobody else did it the same.
An owner of a Yuk-Yuks said it best IMO "he had an old mans voice in a young a mans body". I think that was a great observation. His voice helped with the delivery.

I didn't even know he was Canadian until today. Well that is not entirely true...he was born in Quebec City. Bazinga!

But he did start his career in Canada, Ottawa Ontario.

The Netflix has some of Norm Macdonald's stand up shows if you want to watch them.
I probably will.
