Hey guys! how are you all doing today? I have a simple question about the "LAND LINE MAGAZINE" I've received a couple of them in the past couple months, and the last one mentioned something like "Elect to keep your Land Line coming today!" then it says "To renew your FREE subscription, simply fill out the form..and so on" is this really free? is it work subscribing to this free magazine? I am just wondering since I am very new at this, but they do include a small form to the bottom of the front cover..

I like Transport Topics as well. That is a pretty informative magazine as well. Though you can get a few free issues but then it is something like $100 per year. Not sure but I read it from time to time since our company gets it.

Is land line that good of a magazine? Can I go on line to get it free as well or do you have to own a company or something?

Landline Mag does an excellent job regarding trucking industry issues and information. As to any costs to receive it, I'm unaware of since I am an OOIDA member and receive a free copy as part of my membership.

The magazine articles are limited on-line. Only some of the larger articles are put up. They do have a daily E-news section you can subscribe to receive e-mails...and they have a legislative alert section as well.

Overall, Landline Mag is a good resource for trucking info. Over the past year I have had some issues with OOIDA and how they pick and choose who, and what, they will support. They are unable to get involved with actions and are very selective with what members they'll support, who stand up and speak out. My brother and I were a major part of the protest convoy last April, and they refused to even report about TheAmericanDriver's efforts. But we feel OOIDA is beneficial in many areas for professional drivers and continue to support them as members.
