KLLM Lease drivers!!!

This message is for all the KLLM lease drivers. Just want to know how things are going. Making money? not making money? Things are going pretty good for me. Oh and FYI I think there is something wrong with the fuel tanks they got at the Atlanta yard. my truck started running really bad about a month ago and i couldnt figure out why. I stopped getting fuel on the atl yard and now my truck is running fine. anybody else having that problem????

I imagine since that is a lease truck you do not get the fuel filters changed but every 25,000 miles, they might have gotten a slug of water, it would be wise to carry a spare set with you, especially in the winter, could save you the cost of a road call

I'm not sure if its ulsd but i know the pumps run really slow and when i was getting alot of my fuel there my truck would cut out and sputter when i was pulling a hill. Someone mentioned to me that b/c the pumps ran so slow it could be corrosion in the tanks in the ground clogging up the pumps. I quit getting fuel there and almost instantly my truck went back to running good.

we were delivering lsd to an off road job and they bought 2 new trucks that used ulsd. it gave them all kinds of trouble. we ended up having to set another tank for ulsd for them.

i dont know how there set up but all of our service tanks have a double filter set up on them. one set are 10 micron and catch everything and one set is for water. if they have filters on them and there 20 micron they will still let the small stuff come thru. it dont take long to mess your filters up. if the fuel is dropped direct from the larger terminals it could have crap in it too. they say it cant and will never will admit to it.......but it does. most storage tanks have a lot of crap in them, expecially if there old. they can get water too from condensation.

yea, im making some money but am new (4 months) to the lpp. all depends on how much home time i take. im looking for info on accountants that know the trucking industry.
also considering an llc. any suggestions?

I would run some fuel conditioner through it at least every month, If you are getting ulsd with a bio mix or bio, keep a can of biocide with you. Some ulsd fuels with a bio mix and all bio, have algae in it. If it gets out of control, you will have to change your filters more often. It is a very good idea to keep extra filters on the truck, but we change ours every 10,000 no matter what.
