Food 4 Less in Latrhop up to Corning and after my drop n hook made it to Mill City Nevada TA with an hour and 32 minutes to spare..

Too bad the Alamo Casino still "closed" thought Nevada was opening up

Afew beers and $20 bucks through the slots would've felt good after today

I'm a bit over halfway doing the third day in row of the same 650 mile rounder. Load deliver in NY bring back racks repeat. The other one was a touch under 12 driving. IMG_20200521_092423_01.jpg

Found a stretch of no pavement on US 20 east of Lusk, absolutely no advance notice. Grain wagon was stuck in a soft spot, I barely got through. Used the suspension overlift and locked power divider, full throttle in low range, couple spots were several hundred yards long. 🤬 This morning I'm cleaning gravel off all the low spots, I apparently graded some of the road for the hard hats.

Did have some cool views of the line of storms I ran parallel to for a few hours.

unlike most weeks before a holiday, rates seem to be much better than usual, so I can at least temporarily go back to slacking and running less miles.

Parked at a Sams Club in Knoxville tonight. Some folks were standing where the paper towels and tp is supposed to be, with a look of disgust on their face. I told them that I was delivering an entire truckload first thing in the morning. You would have thought I cured a disease, lol.

Would've liked to hit Rawlins or Elk Mountain but I took a hour snooze past Wells then that Wreck after crossing into Utah set me back another 2 hours till they cleaned up enough to "single" file is through

Still had the hours for atleast Rawlins but I wouldn't get there till 10/10:30 and that place be "Packed" full by then...

Hopefully tommorow I can push hard for Grand Island ...

Otherwise I ain't getting home till Sunday morning

Fort Bridger to Ogallalla just didn't have the "push" in me today for Bosselmans Grand Island..

This will be my 3rd "consecutive" night shutting down at a TA

So that means I'll be getting by the house Sunday morning instead of tomorrow afternoon but I still got almost afew days so I won't Complain..

Freaking Wind was Terrible ..from Wamsetter past Elk Mountain I could've swore more than afew of those gusts were gonna lay me sideways

I slowed back to about 50/55 awhile trying to keep my box steady

Welp it's 80 across Wyoming so to be "expected"

and only had 1 hour left on my 14 when I stopped. Easy day, though. Unloaded at Sams (camped there overnight). Drove toward next load then parked for a few hours and binged on Netflix. Finally went to pick up my load, spent 4 hours there, and made it to the rest area on 24 entering Kentucky from Clarksville.

Lots of travelers out today.

Drove past my delivery by about 3 miles to stop at the Love's in Ottawa, KS for the night. Deliver in the morning.

Seen this, and it was funny.

Super Trucker stepdeck guy (I say that because he truly dressed the part and went to big efforts to look like a tough guy). Him, vs a flip flop wearing, shirt doesn't cover the belly button because the fat pushes the shirt out, short nosed Cascadia driving Prime Driver.

Virtually no parking here.

1. Prime pulls in, drives past the only open spot in order to turn around and back into the spot like a normal truck driver.
2. Stepdeck guy wheels in, and decides to swipe the spot by attempting to set up for a blind side, before Prime can get back to the spot. Not gonna lie, I've done this before myself.
3. Prime patiently waits, stepdeck guy fails miserably, then motions to Prime driver that he is going to flip around and come back. LOL.
4. Prime driver sets up, starts backing in, stepdeck guy shows back up blowing his horn. Stepdeck guy is pissed.
5. Prime driver finishes backing in, then stepdeck guy parks his truck in front of him and talks trash.

I go inside to take a leak. I come back out, and stepdeck guy approaches Prime driver in the parking lot and gets all in his face. Prime gives it right back. Stepdeck guy threatens to give Prime a beatdown, Prime dares him to do it. At that point, Prime is pissed, and taunts stepdeck guy by following him toward the store and mouthing. Stepdeck guy turns around as if to follow through with the beatdown threat, and Prime was immediately read to clock him. Scared stepdeck guy so bad he damn near fell down trying to scramble away.

Stepdeck guy proceed to his truck and left. A minute later, two more very easy spots opened up. All he had to do was be a little patient.
