Hello, I'm a new old guy looking for info on maybe getting into this business, 17 yrs. school bus driver.
I'm weighing the pros and cons of getting into motor coach or getting a class A with automatic restriction. Or just keep working 3 part time jobs.

Welcome!

You get out of trucking what you put into it. When I started I pulled dry van and flatbed, it didn’t take long to figure out dry van sucks donkey dangle.

Open deck has taken me all across the USA and to lots of interesting places/jobsites. I highly recommend it, it’s a little more work but that’s fine by me

i'd go motor coach..since you live somewhere's in CT, you can hook up with any bus company that shuttles people back and forth to the casinos. then be home daily (or nightly)

You guys respond fast, Academy Bus says they pay per mile and a percentage worked out by their computer,
does that sound normal ?
I know manual is better but the school wants an extra grand for that.

i never drove a bus, only rode in a few over my lifetime.

you will be kept busy nearly all year long with the gamblers, especially the Chinese out of NY.

Coach wasn't bad. The women coming back from the casinos would hit on you.

If people won really big, they would tip big too.
