Hazmat Endorsement, is it worth it?

So I passed the test and I'm supposed to have this endorsement in my CDL, but I was told I need to pay $95 for finger printing for background check to put the endorsement on the card.

I don't plan on hauling anything HazMat, so is this worth going for?

I was talking to recruiters at a job fair and one, either Duie Pyle or Schneider, said they haul raw ingredients for Gatorade and some are considered Hazmat. You never know.

HazMat can be more trouble than it's worth if you aren't getting paid for it. I ran with the X endorsement for 2 years and actually had to use it a whopping 7 times.

Some carriers do require it to be hired, some require it or strongly encourage it for certain divisions. I only got it because Werner paid for it all. (They didn't pay a premium for it.)

Prime has a hard requirement of HazMat and TWIC. No premiums or reimbursements.
