This one is a few miles from me. I think they mean hwy 25, not 176.
Either way, there's a plaque at I-26 and sr 64 marking Stoneman's raid in 1865. I'll have to research the rest of the story.

I would love to go to all of these. My friends and I used to try to find marys grave and find the haunted insane asylums when I was younger. We had a blast. It was probably one of the most fun I have had in life. I would love to go stay in one of those haunted hotels someday, not by myself though.

Thats exactly where I was. I grew up on Long Island I didn't think anyone would even know what I was talking about. LOL

I mostly grew up on L.I. Franklin Square. Another good haunt was near N.C.C, off Hempstead tpk. And the tower at Jones beach.

The tower at Jones Beach would have been soooo much fun I wish I had known about that when I was a rebel teenager!
