i HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU EXPERIENCED TRUCKERS.MY SISTER KNOWS A DRIVER AND HE TOLD HER HE GOT A FINE FOR USING A NON-TRUCKERS GPS.HE SAID YOU DONT HAVE TO HAVE ONE BUT IF YOU USE ONE FOR TRUCK DRIVING IT HAS TO BE A TRUCKER GPS.ANY COMMENTS ON THIS?

I could be wrong, but it could be that he was following the gps route, got a ticket for being on a road that a truck wasn't supposed to be on, and his interpretation of the story is that he got a ticket for using non truck gps. There has been several low overpass hits recently because a driver was following a non-truck gps route. I don't care if a truck specific gps says "go this way", you still can't just turn your brain off and not pay attention. As many of you have noticed, there are some real dumb people driving trucks these days.

Being new and going to school AGAIN,i will be very aware of what im about to drive into. But you are right.Something doesnt add up.I plan on getting a truckers gps but you still have to keep your wits about you.

Couldn't have said it better if I said it myself!
