A factory-installed roof fairing is now available as standard on Freightliner CascadiaEvolution 72-inch mid-roof XT models and as an option on Freightliner Cascadia 72-inch mid-roof XT trucks. The new roof fairing was introduced at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.
Available with 12-inch or 20-inch side extenders, the roof fairing’s overall height is the same as the truck’s raised roof.
According to Freightliner, the addition of the new fairing will provide up to a 2.8 percent fuel economy improvement over previous generation models.
A similarly designed 60-inch XT Roof Fairing will be available in 2014.
