The average price of a gallon of on-highway diesel went up 6 cents to $2.370 per gallon for the week ending Monday, Aug. 22. This marks the first increase after nine weeks of declining or stagnant prices. The relatively large hike sends the national average to the highest prices in a month.

Diesel price averages went up in all 10 regions in the U.S., according to the Energy Information Administration. The largest average increase was in the Gulf Coast region, where prices at the pump rose by 7 cents per gallon. Prices were up 2.3 cents in the New England region, the smallest increase in the nation.

Well this should come as Good News for O/O's why Fuel Surcharges will rise a Penny or so.......

Maybe a Terrorist Attack in Saudi Arabia or a Major Refinery Catastrophe can nudge us back to the "Glory Days" of Four Dollars a gallon
