CRST Malone

I started this post to give my opinion on the CRST Malone Lease Operation. I have a driver that recently came to work for me after being with CRST Malone for aprox 6 weeks now. I have seen this ladds paperwork and docummentation on this company and all I can say is if you are thinking about going on with the CRST Malone Lease Purchase program.

Run away, run as fast as you can. The ladd recently done a 2080 mile run that was quoted wrong and even after his settlement paid, he had no advances from CRST and they deducted over 2200 in deductions for the week leaving the ladd with a $176.74 dollar settlement for that run:faint:

I pay about 3 grand a week to ATS, sometimes more!

I'm thinking all these lease programs are alike. It's strange. I really thought I researched this one well, and found no negative feedback on it.

Only after witnessing the intricacies firsthand can i say 'wow, crst malone has a good thing going on their lease-purchase.' That is, it's great for crst, 25% of the top no matter how much or how little or how nothing the drivers get. I know a driver rather well that's involved with this, and it's only because he's pretty bright and meticulous that he's still staying afloat; even then, it's pretty wearing. The dispatcher would have him move loads for pennies, if he didn't absolutely refuse to.

I am currently with CRST Malone in the lease purchase.. all I can say is are you a steering wheel holder or an o/o? yes they get 25% off the top! But you pick and choose your loads You decide where you run, and you decide what you want to be paid.. yeah they have some cheap freight on their load borad but doesn't mean i have to haul it! It's no forced Dispatch.. I average around $2.00/mile paid to the truck! why? because i don't take crap.. didn't do it when i was a company driver and now this is my 3rd truck I dang sure aint going to start now! just because someone doesn't stand up for them selfs and doesn't take the training wheels off their truck and learn how to do for themselves they want to blame the company.. If you can't think and do for yourslef then don't come here... but still i get more of the line haul then say landstar who only gets 67% of 98%.. hmmmm

Dude, you nailed it. It's your own business, run is like you want to. Everywhere you go, someone is waiting and willing to take advantage of you. It'll happen to those that let it - and it should. Somebody has to haul that cheap freight! It's not a perfect program, but it is what you make it.
