Feb. 21--CEDAR RAPIDS -- CRST International on Tuesday announced the formation of two new operating companies in response to customer and market demand.
CRST Dedicated Services Inc. and CRST Capacity Solutions Inc. will be part of the CRST Carrier Group, which oversees the company's asset-based carriers CRST Van Expedited, CRST Malone and CRST Premier Transport.
CRST Dedicated Services, based in Eldridge, will offer services ranging from a dedicated fleet to a single source dedicated truck capacity and transportation network. The services will be available in the van and flatbed markets.
CRST Capacity Solutions, based in Cedar Rapids, will provide a single source for truck capacity.
Dave Rusch, president of the CRST Carrier Group, said the services offered by the two new operating companies have been available through CRST's Carrier Group subsidiaries and have been growing in demand.
"It was time to establish separate entities and staff them with professional managers who will focus entirely on fostering their growth," Rusch said.
