Clarification on trucker shutdown date

To put it simply, there is no clarification. It seems that the reason this has developed so quickly is that this grass roots effort pretty much had roots sprouting up all over the Country, all at the same time, all coming from independent origins.

What it boils down to is the date really doesn't matter. All of the dates are pretty close. What matters is that a message gets sent. A group of truckers in Georgia have already started, and others plan to do the same over the course of the next couple weeks.

It really doesnt matter when you shut your truck down aslong as you shut it down and make the point. I am glad to see it happen I will be kicking back at the house april 1st - 5th. I dont really know if this is when its going to happen with the rest of the trucks but its time. We all know the reasons why it needs to be done........:beep:

I am one of those Central G.a Log Haulers. At the A.F.C.M Meeting yesterday we all agreed to Strike April 1st. We are also Planning a "Organized Convoy" to Atlanta on April 1st to promote the strike and in protest of the high fuel prices and State tax that goes with it. Here in G.a, We are paying .55 cents a gallon in state and local taxes. As far as the convoy to the ATL, We are going through the proper chanells and following all laws of this state. We are going to request a State Patrol escort like the Speacial Olympics do when they have a convoy for disabled kids. We are spreading the word !!! Everybody get ready for a little vacation and SHUT'EM DOWN !!!!!
