Bitcoin

Bitcoin took a big leap and also a bit of a dive so of course it is in the news.
I love reading the comments.
The top comments that will make me scroll past are as follows.
Anyone that says it is a Fiat currency. You are clueless!
Ponzi scheme. You are clueless!
Pyramid scheme. You are clueless!
The blockchain will be hacked. You are clueless!
It is a volatile market, Umm yeah no shit sherlock!
It is trading as a commodity and not currency , No shit sherlock!:rolllaugh:

Wow:stare1:Bitcoin really took a shit today!:poop:
It dropped down to 13,600. I didn't even have time to look at it. I got the news from the man on the radio.

I had doubled my money when it was at it's peak. I am not worried. I am not cashing out.

The man on the business show that I watch everyday says it is a gamble:confused-96: Really? No shit?
Everything in this world is a gamble, Thank you for that thoughtful insight:foreheadslap:

There are gambles, crap games, lotto tickets with varying bad odds.

Then there's Bitcoin... err bitthedustcoin today.

You could right or it could investors profit taking before the holidays.
It could be the heavily indebted wanting to get out.

Your guess is as good as mine.

If I had crystal balls .......................I would have this on lock:biglaugh:

I have really stopped looking at the price of Bitcoin, It has been pretty stagnant in the last little while.
Today on the way to work the man in the radio tells me Bitcoin took a big hit overnight:foreheadslap:
It really was not that big of a hit but big enough.
That was based on South Korea's talk of banning the cryptocurrency.
C'est la vie!
I mean if you are dumping it just based on that then you really do not understand cryptocurrency.

Whatever. It only leaves room for those that wanted to get in and thought the price was too high. Unfortunately it is January and the bills that kill are starting to roll in from Christmas.
If the price drops any lower I will be buying some more, Maybe.

Bitcoin's month-long price slide continued on Thursday as the virtual currency fell below $9,000 for the first time since November. As we publish this article, one bitcoin is worth $8,700. That's down 12 percent over the last 24 hours and 55 percent from December's peak of $19,500.

Pump... the rise to November, and Dump. As in when it hits it's peak and slides below the next level of support, it's time to get out. That was the first week in December.

If you're still holding the bag it's too late.

Nah, I don't think it is too late. It is lower than what I bought it for and I could have doubled my money at 19000 if I dumped it. I probably should have taken some profits and then bought in again but I didn't.
I am sure it will go up again being as this is a low price for those that use it for nefarious purposes on the dark net. It is not just a commodity that caused a spike it is a currency.

Yup it took a dump today, Large! The markets also took a huge hit today as well.
Fully expecting that the markets would take a dump. I just didn't know when. I also assumed when that day came Bitcoin would take a dump and it did.
I am in both Bitcoin and the markets.

Bitcoin is down over 20% since I bought in Nov.
Ethereum and Litecoin have also both taken a hit from the highs but they're both up around 40% from where I bought in.
All in all, I'm up about 30%

But this is just slot-machine money.
I wouldn't risk enough to cause real concern if they all tank...
pretty much like RJ said.

I am going to double down on Bitcoin though.

I met a pal for lunch at the casino a coupla months ago.
On the way out he said he was gonna drop $20 in the slots...
which he did...
4 or 5 times in less than 30 minutes!!
:biggrin-2:

I've had a lot more entertainment for my money than he has.
