Funny you ask, the reason I found this forum in the first place was in search of a solution for my headlight woes: http://www.truckersforum.net/forum/f96/2005-volvo-headlights-suck-28980/
There is a Torx head adjusting screw to set the vertical position of the low beams, I forget the size, you will need a socket. The adjuster is inside a hole at the back, lower inside portion of the bucket. I think Sears sells them, mine are Snap-On. I adjusted mine at night with the hood open so I could see the upper line of the light beam. Do it a little bit and test them out, you don't want to blind oncoming drivers.
Also, the plastic yellows and gets a haze over time from the strong detergents used at truck washes and fine surface scratches and you can get a little improvement from the polycarbonate plastic headlight restoration stuff, (I have had the best result with Wicked Products brand) but eventually you will need to buck up and buy a new set of headlight assemblies.
Your local Volvo dealer stocks them.

Thanks for the info, I went out and looked and saw the hex heads right away, I do not know how I missed them the first time, first volvo I have ever owned, all I need now is the big ten gallon hat, dinner plate belt buckle and a new pair of Nike's and I will be able to qualify as a super trucker

OK, easy now, let's not go overboard. Used to be a trucker wore Wrangler jeans, cowboy boots (I prefer Dan Post myself), Western style shirts with pearl snaps or buttons, and either a cowboy hat or a baseball cap. And always had a toothpick to chew on.
Now days you would be hard pressed to find a "real trucker", but there are a few left.
Nike shoes on a trucker? What has this world come too? Some of the places I pick up and drop off at require steel toed safety boots, hard hat and safety glasses. Nike shoes, phtt!, give me a break.
And what the hell is up with those big honkin' bluetooth headsets? What do these guys think they are, customer service representatives at the power company?
One last thing, why the hell does a guy need to wear any kind of glove to drive a truck? Dirty steering wheel? Clean it! I use gloves when I am doing a pre or post trip, securing a load, tarping & untarping and getting my load ready to unload. Not to drive.

Well I wouldn't know about the price, mine were a gift about 30 years ago. Had the soles and heels replaced once, cost me about 50 bucks if I remember right.

I bought a pair of Tony lama work/riding boots they are black waterproof & steel towed one of the most comfortable boots I have ever put on.Very reasonable price for a company that has done so well with western boots.
