What about installing?

Tell us more about what you offer. I have a shop in Springfield that has been good to me, but always looking for more and better options.

Are you available for any general maintenance?

Do you use aftermarket or OEM parts?

What about an in-frame on a million mile s60 14L. What will that run me. Make it new.

We are available for general repair even though we don't market ourselves in that way. The best way for us to make sure you get handled correctly is to call me to discuss further.

I forgot to reply about your question on installation. YES, we can handle installations. We generally like to schedule R&R's to arrive on Monday mornings, and you will back on the road 2 days later or sooner. It just depends on our schedule. We are not set in stone on the Monday morning start day, but it generally works out better for everyone that way. But we can work with any schedule needed.

You are correct, but we like to know this info due to some different truck engine comparment set ups and how they relate to our labor costs that are associated with our pricing. I will send you a P.M with a price and details.

It's got a davco(single fuel filter), needs bullgear, waterlines, engine damper and compressor.

I guess I'm putting things here so that everyone can see what really goes into a quality in-frame.

If I do this, it's to put the truck back on the road for another 5-7 years.

There's a lot of items on that block you haven't even touched.

It's why I said. It's a million mile motor. Make it new.

I hear ya! The details and pricing I gave you are a starting point. And sometimes customers want more or less than what our basic in-frame comes with due to budget. So we try to start with the basics and work our way up from there. I can quote for the additional items you listed above, and if there are any other components/parts that you may want to include, let me know and I will quote that as well. Are you based in Springfield?

Minnesota.

Plane tickets are cheap.

Give you an idea on my view with maintenance.

My clutch went out in 2014. Bushing came out of throwout bearing. By the time all was done, it included the restructure being rebuilt, trans master rebuild from Eaton and the flywheel housing removed and resealed. All oil and fuel lines were replaced too.

Since it was in the shop also, it got all suspension bushings and six slack adjusters as well.

It was the result of a $14,000 oil change.

After speaking with our shop foreman, we unfortunately do need to know the year make and model of your truck in order to quote you accurately. Sorry for the inconvenience, when we quote our existing customers, we make it a point to quote them only once for the work that has been discussed. And in order to do that, we have to know all the details upfront so we can stand behind our quote for the work to be completed.

Thank you for your offer it up to now. But I will pass.

Your inability to give me an estimate based off of the engine serial number is a red flag.

No problem, I was kind thinking the same about you. But I respect your decision to not give up your truck info even though I don't understand why.

First off, people ask me for the last 6 of my VIN to get the information on my truck. From there they take that information and go to the dealer and get this engine serial number. At which point they give me a very accurate estimate based off of that information.

So I guess when I'm writing a $18,000 check, I do my homework.
