I just saw a few truckstops offering RK 56 microphones for $89! You have got to be kidding... THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL I WILL PAY THAT FOR A MICROPHONE! This is getting insane now...

I know isn't that crazy. This is one of a million reasons why I absoultely DESPISE truckstops. They not only are crooks but everything they sell is cheaply made.L I WILL PAY THAT FOR A MICROPHONE! This is getting insane now...[/QUOTE]

the Rk56 is no big deal now as i showed in my thread of funny ebay ads is showed pix of the new ones their no longer worth buying.astatic 636 ,dm104,road devil, or a stock mic is best sometimes

Most stuff Is way overpriced but sometimes I find good deals at truckstops especially on sale/ clearance items

Some truckstops even have those bins where the stuff will be a fraction of regular price the ones at pilot are usually JUNK but I have found good stuff in those at TA and AmBest

Funny you bring that up... I'm not minding being in the office, I'm fairly content with that part. What's starting to get to me is being tied down, I can't just disappear for a long weekend whenever I can afford it. And that is likely as not gonna drive me back into a truck. That and the extra income.

It was actually a touch freaky a few weeks ago, I drove a truck for the first time in almost 18 months. No trouble shifting, as natural as can be around corners, locked in the lane. I frankly expected a lot more rust.

So I fear the RK won't be needing a new home, just yet. SORRY!!!

There's two versions of the RK56. Telex sold the Turner brand to DAS. It's like night and day. The way to tell is on the back. If it says TELEX TURNER you have the old good one. If it only says TURNER you have crap.
