An 18-wheeler hauling cell phones was stolen from a Texas man on Sunday.

A report on file at the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Department on the theft states that Eleazar Perez, 34, Brownsville, Texas, was traveling through the county and stopped at the T/A Truck Stop in the Madison area. Perez told deputies that he went into the truck stop to take a shower and when he returned he found that the 2002 Freightliner 18-wheeler valued at $30,000 was gone. Perez stated that the truck was hauling cell phones for Landstar Ranger, Inc., but the value of the cell phones was not known.

The investigation into the theft is ongoing.

It's actually the SIM card that gets activated . Many SIM cards are interchangeable from older phones to new ones . Looks like they would have had some kind of GPS on that tractor or trailer though .

last one I replaced I needed the sim and phone code.....then it would depend on what kind of phone some don't use the sim card anymore.
alot of phones have tracking and gps on them........
