I was in South Dakota and the was trying to snow blow north bound hammer lane shoulder into the median but he was filling the south bound hammer lane. Thank god I was in a governed truck or I’d of been in the left lane running right into it like Scarface into a brief case of yay-yo.
When hauling rubber tires anything I strap a timber down in front of and behind one axle of it. Works just as good as when deer nails blocks into my deck. Doesn’t cost any extra to lay down two timbers and throw 2 2” straps.
So if the straps don’t hold them I am assuming there’s like frame chains under the car? I have seen the winches for them but to be honest I don’t think I have ever seen anyone use them.
Sometimes I get stuck in an Owens Corning loop for a week or more taking a truck load of this version to that plant then a different one to another plant then that plant to the original plant.
I just don’t end up there often. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve loaded tamko even though we probably have 500+ trucks load at their plants every day. Just where I run I typically get Owens Corning. And probably 2 doezen times in the last 3 years gotten certainteed.
