I saw that on another thread posted somewhere here.
I meant your very first time doing that. It had to be a little nerve wracking.
Once you get used to it, it's just an every day deal. The first time I put a 345 on a detach it took a while. Only inches of the tracks are on the deck and really...
They don't pay anymore because of the cut-throat brokers that are trying to load these trucks for less that $1.00 per mile per vehicle. Then you see the equipment and it will barely hold up that Bug-Eyed Sprite because they are so rusted. All of the elite carriers are doing the Concourse shows...
Well...That didn't last long. I left the yard and went the 15 miles to the loading rack, shut it down, loaded, get back in to pull out and the little screen is littered with fault icons. Secured my B-O-L's and left the property. Clicked into the high side of the transmission and it fell on it's...
Back on the road tonight. Someone came up with a tune and sensor delete that just stops the computer from accepting a fault code. Everything still operates as it should except the derate and the DEF gauge monitor. I guess we'll see. If not, I won't be more than 4 hours from the yard at any given...
On mine those sensors are for reversing. On the wife's Explorer it has the self parking feature and it incorporates the front and rear cameras and sensors to parallel park itself. But the driver still has to control the braking action. She relies way too much on those cameras. I mostly use the...
My 2011 3.5 Eco is good on fuel considering it's a 6000# truck. It's the electric 6 speed with 3.15:1 rear cogs. It holds steady at 16 around town and 20-21 on the road at 70-75. It's rated at 365HP and 465 in the torque side. It will pull a 7000# boat effortlessly.
I guess when you haul them, you could care less what they cost. Your interest is in the freight that takes care of your new truck payment.
Having been big truck shopping over the last month, I can tell you that inventory is at near ZERO. I've called dealers from Miami to Seattle and everywhere...
They are using the same type of side badging on the F150's now as the 250's up on the front quarter. That's why I though it was a 250. I paid $3k for my ordered '11 Platinum back in Aug. 2010. They've near doubled in price. Mine still sits in my driveway looking brand new with 60k on the clock.
That forward 250 looks like it has a longer bed on it than the rear truck. Even a longer frame. 8' vs 6.5'?
I got the 6.5' on mine with the 165' WB and it still takes 4 lanes to make a U-turn.
I wouldn't do well with a Mega and I don't have the business sense to apply it to myself as an O/O. As it is, I'm basically an O/O, without all of the bills and responsibilities. I'm better at sucking up to customers and gaining their business, than I am of selling them my service in the first...
You're the one doing the work. I'm just looking at the pictures.
Right now, I need to get in the shower and out the door to the Peterbilt Prison. Be safe out there.
Wouldn't a set of 90's on the gladhands be better than the straight out fittings that are there? It seems that with the bend in the flex hose, it may tend to lift up on the gladhand connection and disconnect it.
That's the way it appears in the pictures. I'm not there to feel the tension on...
