Sarcastic remark goes here
You just prompted me to go read about Jerry Garcia.People make a "mis-conception' that the Grateful Dead was Jerry Garcia..
By the end of the 1970s they were BROKE and about went "Separate" Ways..
Then came Brent Mydland "young" but not just one of the most talented keyboardist a Song Writer and Manager as well..
By the Mid 1980s Jerry Garcia in his late 40s was already showing "significant" health issues ...
It was Brent Mydland and THE BAND who kept it going..
Infact the 1980s were the Grateful Dead most "Profitable" years..
The "Shows" alone meant only having to do 2 studio Albums one a chart topper by chance..
In 1990 Brent Mydland himself succombed to "Overdose" at only 38 years old
Nonetheless You'll see here though how under Brent Mydland they worked "together" as a Band.
Many years ago I heard that the weed reference "420" was a tribute to Jerry Garcia who was either born on or died on April 20. I noticed his Wikipedia page says both his birth and death dates were in August. (August 1, 1942 – August 9, 1995)
So I looked it up and found out the 420 thing was started by some high school kids trying to find a pot plant with a treasure map in 1971
