New York lawmaker pursues tougher rules for snow-free vehicles

Concern about chunks of frozen precipitation falling off moving vehicles has led a New York state lawmaker to pursue legislation intended to improve safety on roadways. Assemblyman Mike Spano, D-Yonkers, has offered a bill that would force truckers and other drivers to remove ice, snow, sleet and hail from their vehicles before taking to the state’s roadways.

looks like new york is going to do without a lot of things in the winter just out of curiosity how many of you are going to climb up on top of your trailers and chip ice off of it??

does anyone believe that if we fall down (probably no one will see us fall down), will we be able to collect worker's comp, since NO ONE will witness the falling we do...???:nono:
 
There is absolutely no way in hell I am going to climb up on top of a trailer to remove ice. Simply not happening. That is a fall that could break your neck and kill you.

Here is a thought, stay the hell away from the rear of trucks who have been in icy conditions. I guess that would be too simple though.
