Let's make fun of Minnesota.

Because Canada was not a country at the time. Canada is only 151 years old. But the solders did come from what is now Canada.
The army that burned Washington fought under Major General Robert Ross who commanded a 4,500-man army, composed of the 4th (King's Own) Light, 21st Royal North British Fusiliers, 44th (East Essex) Regiment of Foot, and 85th Regiment of Foot. These were all British formations redeployed from Europe after the defeat of Napoleon. The majority of the British forces went to Canada, but Ross' force went straight from Europe to Bermuda, to be used in raids on the US Atlantic coast.

...so no, there weren't no Cannuckstanians involved.

Do you forget that we were a British Colony up until 151 years ago. We were the British.

...but you *weren't* the British who burned Washington. Lest we forget, there was this border war running betwixt us 'n you. Y'all were somewhat occupied at the time.

Umm, was there two British at the time? Every Colony was a part of the British empire at the time including America until they won independence.
As we were, you were colonists. In the view of the British government, while colonists were British Subjects (when that was convenient,) more often than not, you were second class British Subjects (aka "colonists") to be taxed, abused and used as the King saw fit.

We just got tired of His Royal Bullshit before all y'all did... something about all y'all trying to stay warm for 11-1/2 months every year.

We just asked very politely, Hey, Can we be an independent country? and the British said yes.
Did you try asking nicely before starting a war? :D :p

Canada didn't become a sovereign nation until 1982. So what.....38 years barely.

And still the largest us national Park.

I didn't say it became a sovereign nation 151 yrs ago, I said it became a Country! For a guy so good with Google, reading comprehension is not your strong suit.

Yup Americans Love to come up here with there guns to hunt. They also like to come up here to fish in the pristine lakes.

That's because y'all got nothin they want. We got (had) vast natural resources. And at the time our citizenry was mostly wealthy farmers, ripe for extremely heavy taxation.

UMM, NO! It was just the one time. WHERE IN THE ACTUAL **** TO YOU AMERICANS GET YOUR HISTORY OF CANADA FROM? :dunno:
You asked if WE AMERICANS asked the British a question. I said yes we did.

How is that Canadian history? :biglaugh:
