How far back to employers check driving records? 3yrs,5yrs,7yrs.
I have 0 points in the last 3 yrs and 3 points in the last 5.
If you go back about 5 to 7 yrs my record is not clean.
Dont have any major problems like dui, wreckless driving, speeding.accident or suspensions. but do have several minor moving violations.
Will that cause a problem getting hired?
I have a clean record right now.

ok, this gets subjectional as to what i WILL DO when i fill out any application, others here may disagree with me.

in MY STATE, the driving records go back 3 years.........

now, an employer can AND WILL ask as far back as 10 years if they so desire to do so, on the application.

when an employer calls up DAC/USIS for your employment record, they usually get the MVR as well for the few extra dollars they pay.

since MY STATE only goes back 3 years, that's ALL THEY GET.............from me when i fill out an application.

now, since this is so in MY STATE, if i had an accident 4 years, or 5 years ago...........guess what.........I DO NOT LIST IT...........

so this is from what I HAVE experienced, and it hasn't failed me yet.

now also, i have never had any DUI's, DWI's, whatever, so i CANNOT SAY if that gets to stay longer in MY STATE's DMV files...........but, i'd venture to guess, that's 3 years also.
