Lease Purchase How much money can you make with a lease purchase?

He said his truck was not restricted. 89 is the limit set forth by Freightliner.
That's bullshit. One of the things you find out real quick is megas limit their trucks, and running very fast gives you a huge fuel bill to pay.

It's his truck. I didn't say he ran it that hard I said his top speed was that fast.

He said when he runs it hard any profits he makes by making more miles go into the fuel tank.

Going downhill with a load maybe. SNI governs their trucks much lower than 89.

Did he show you his settlements?

Personally, I'd say he was blowing smoke up your ass. 89 mph? Never seen SNI running that fast.

Lease purchase truck. They set both of mine at 95 I believe. I don’t know for sure because I never tried to go that fast. Took both to 85 though

Dang never had mine over 90. 85 was it for me and that was just for a bit to get away from the idiot that had to have been watching a video the way he was driving by braille.

Honest question. If a truck gains 5 mph for every 500 rpm in high gear up to 80 mph at 1800.will it be doing 115 at 2150?

Also food for thought. In the DT 12 transmission the final drive gear is 1.00:1 or direct drive. That’s how they get away with putting a 2.36:1 rear diff in it. Gutless but economic.

That’s really dependent on what your final drive gear is in your trans mission and you rear gear ratio. A 4.11:1 rear diff with a .76 final drive is going to increase rpm per mile per hour a lot faster than a 3.32:1 with a .70 final drive gear will.
All I can remember is that it had a 15 speed up against the dash with I believe 3:32 rear ends. I only had it against the governor twice 2150 and the speedometer only went to 80 always wondered how fast that was.

I've been reading the pros and cons of a lease-purchase deal but I haven't really read how much money can a driver make? I'm sure it depends on your dispatcher and other factors. A prime recruiter told a friend of mine he can make $2200 per week. Lease payment insurance everything already out
It's simple to do the math. Every time I do it, I figure the driver makes $300 take home a week, does not seem worth it. Your biggest expense, fuel and the lease/insurance, usually 1000.00 to 1500.00. Fuel 7 mpg, $4.00 a gallon. Just averages. Just with those figures, using 3k a week miles, you lose. And about 10% for a maintenance fund. As a company driver you would make 1400.00 gross. Put your money in the bank, buy your own truck after you get a few years experience.

$300?? You are so full of shit it's unbelievable. The net revenue before taxes depends on the exact wording of the contract - which varies between carriers, the truck and its price, the cost of everything neccessary to operate and maintain the truck, the obtainable weekly gross revenue, the driver's ability to control costs - in other words there are so many factors that its impossible to state a weekly net revenue range without studying each situation. To blithely state that one could only expect $300 per week in all cases is just stupid.

It's quite possible if you know the cpm it pays. Swift, dart, central, most pay around $1.12 com, no matter what the lease is, it's a loser.

Have you ever heard of percentage of revenue? Perhaps you shouldn't hold forth as an expert...

Be careful to hire a good insurance manager, you can always get it cheaper
