Vaping like a skinny jeans wearing, man bun sporting, beard having, murse carrying hipster tool.

I saw something a couple of weeks ago that there's heavy metals in the vape from the heating coils. You done get that in a cigarette.

Formaldehyde can be found in overheated coil vapor.

But they never do say which brands they use or the nic content of he juice they’re using.

If it’s decent specialty shop juice or the crap found in a gas station.

It’s hardly objective science in any regard.

Though I did see an article recently about a full time 3 year study yielding no negative results.

Because y'all want to be suckin' that shit in yer lungs. There's a whole batch of articles based on a John's Hopkins study that came out about six months ago....

Sounds pretty objective to me.

Are Vapers At Risk From Hazardous Metals?

A group of researchers from Johns Hopkins and other universities are getting a lot of attention with a study that claims to show dangerous levels of various metals in e-cigarette vapor.

The press release was in newsrooms before the study had even been published, and the researchers were on the phone with reporters before the ink on the press release was dry. And the story is still spreading. Unfortunately, most reporters simply repeat the authors’ version of what the results mean, and don’t bother seeking out experts who might challenge the paper’s conclusions. And they definitely need challenging.

“Toxic metals linked with brain damage are ‘leaking from e-cigarettes into vapour’, experts have found,” said The Mirror. “Oh good, e-cigarette vapor contains toxic metals, too,” shouted the sarcastic Mashable banner. And those weren’t even the worst headlines.

Do the headlines match the study’s findings? And, for that matter, do the researchers’ own conclusions even describe the findings of the research?

Are Capers at Risk...

This actually sounds objective to you?

Go in to your local vape shop and they can recommend a good set up for you.
A guy just trying to quit smoking is not looking to make huge clouds. That is kind of hipster douchebaggry.
You are going to spend a good buck to get set up. But after that it is pretty much paying for juice and coils and that is far cheaper than a carton of smokes.

You'd need to look at the underlying study. I don't have enough interest in it to do more that post that. If y'all want to poison yourself... have at it!

I did one better.

I actually read through that study and absorbed what my Luddite brain could handle and yes there is some very disconcerting info in there regarding the production of metals as a result of aerosol vapor.

Then I came upon the conclusion. Specifically the last sentence of the conclusion.

“that study from some egg heads and John’s Hopkins said:
”Due to potential toxicity resulting from chronic exposure to metals in e-cigarette aerosols, additional research is needed to more precisely quantify metal exposures resulting from e-cigarette use and their implications for human health, and to support regulatory standards to protect public health.

So my conclusion remains the same.

Anyone who thinks this activity is completely safe is misled and foolish.

Most people know otherwise.

Whether or not it’s worth panicking over is probably a negative.

I think living in a polluted city is probably still worse.

Remember before they cleaned the air up in L.A. how they said just breathing was the equivalent of smoking a pack a day?

I think it’s probably better than that.

Exactly!
Smoking is bad. So by comparison, how much worse can vaping be?
The vaping thing is in it's infancy,so no actual proven studies with evidence have conducted.

I've had a few close friends die from lung or throat cancer due to smoking. It's an ugly, slow, painful way to go. After watching them go like that, you couldn't get me to partake.

I had quit for about 3 years..

Thank God assisted suicide is legal here. I would not want to suffer in pain from cancer.

it has been years since I switched to vaping and don't regret it one bit, I breath easier. no more smokers cough, food tastes better, just feel better all way round
a month back my vapor died and it took me 3 days to get the one I wanted so for three days I smoked a pack a day, can't say it was a great experience but as soon as I had my setup I was back to vaping, still have a half a pack of smokes in a drawer for which I have no urge to finish off

Formaldehyde can also be found in an apple. Don’t trust media hype.

Well my old Kanger Mini Box finally died. So I had to buy a new mod. It’s an Aegis mini box with a Cerberus tank (made by the same company) I run 35-37 watts typically. This thing hits very nice. I enjoy it. I use a juice called victory made by a local company here called Alhoma anyone else get a new mod recently?

47572

47573

Now this mod here has an internal battery so no swapping batteries like my last one, I have hit it 89 times at this point today and as you can see the battery isn’t even down to half. Charges via mini usb. It is also claimed to be almost indestructible. Has a steel case and is rubber and leather on the outside to help absorb shock.

Anywho if anyone’s got questions about it or wants more info give me a shout.

I got a VooPoo Too as a black friday thing. Watched a few reviews and thought it would be awesome.

HATED IT. Used it ONE DAY. As soon as I get time it's going to Facebook Marketplace. Utterly terrible in almost every way.

Then I went online and found another Wismec Ruleaux RX200s for only 40.00. The one I just retired was really dependable and last over 2 years, so I with the new one as far as I'm concerned I don't need another mod until a few years again. The only thing I don't like (and this is with most mods) is that there is not multiple memory wattage settings like on my old IPV3. Sometimes in the morning you're just not ready for the freight train type hit.

I run a HorizonTech Arco II tank at about 87.5 Watts because the one type of coil made only maxes out at about 90.

I have never vaped that hot before. But me in the morning start at 30w then after I get kick started I bump up to 35-37w depending on how new the coil is.
