can't say about any of the new ones, i think the last Volvo i drove was a 2013 day cab. before that, i had driven condo volvo's, best damn riding truck i was ever in.
People love to hate but I liked the '13 I schooled in. Comfy and easy to drive. My dad liked the '14(?) he drove for his company before he semi retired. Same reasons. Easy and comfortable.
When you're a company driver, there are just a few things you need to consider when getting into one of their trucks:
1. Is it road worthy?
2. Does the heating and air conditioning work?
3. Is it clean?
That's pretty much it. Brand, color, engine, horse power, etc.... Not your problem. Just make sure it runs and is safe, make sure it will not harm your health to be in it and make sure it's not a pig sty.
That said: Volvo trucks, in my experience, are comfortable, if a little cramped. They're easy to maneuver and generally quiet inside. The only real issue I had with the 2007 670 I drove as a Swifty company driver was the dashboard seemed to be doing a jig when the rest of the truck was doing a jog. Some drivers wedged a length of 2x4 under the dash assembly to control this. I didn't do anything except not put my coffee cup in the top cup holder.
I liked the Volvos that I have driven Very ergonomic!
It is just way too much electronics for my liking They need to back off on the technology for a while.
They are comfortable and they steer great Alignment on the steers is an issue. Don't even go near a curb unless you want to have to do an alignment.
I still make fun of Volvos and If you tell anyone on the forum that I said Liked them I will deny it
