Companies that hire people with felonies?

I am looking for a company that will provide CDL training and will accept someone with felonies. My felonies are over 10 years old, but I am still having problems when talking to recruiters. I am wondering if anyone in my situation has had any luck finding a company that will hire them. If so, who?

it is hard but with it being over 10 years old it should be easier. it might be a different factor that is not being told. like maybe an unstable work history or bad driving record. alot of bigger companies (swift, schneider, werner, etc) will train. get the one year experience and find a better company.

Have you heard of a company called Trucker's Dispatch? They aren't a trucking company. They're an employment type service that matches drivers to companies. I have no idea if they charge of not, as I just saw an ad, which didn't say one way or the other. They said people with felonies can apply, so there must be jobs out there. Anyway, you can probably find them on the web if you do a Google Search.

Any companies that travel into Canada are possibly going to be a problem.

I was going to get a list of companies from someone, but the person ended getting a local job and never ended up getting the list.

A family member has a felony theft record that's over 16 yrs old and she's been job hunting and this keeps coming back to haunt her. The sad thing is she was a just a stupid kid when she did that and she's never done anything like it again, but too many companies are unwilling to give her a chance.

Buel Inc. - Transport specialists.
They hire People with Felonies yet determine severity of Felony plus age. They have runs from NC to WA, back and forth, all year.

What someone did over 10 years ago is irrelevant if the person isn't doing it or hasn't done it since that time.
I have a DUI/DWI in '91 and since most Driving Record checks only go back 10 years, I don't even mention it anymore. I haven't drank anything Alcoholic since mid '92 so why should I mention the conviction??
Some Companies are just fishing for info and when some folks open their past, they get what they get.
Other than the Feds and not always for them, NO Trucking Company can check ones Criminal record back to when one was eighteen(unless one is below 30), therefore they're just fishing.
California told me last year that there is NO WAY for them to print out a copy of my driving record from the eighties back unless I want to pay them to search through the microfish (film) files AND that there may very well BE NO FILES, so I didn't bother.

Companies that have the "HAVE YOU EVER HAD" questions on their apps are for those People that don't like to be deceptive yet ALL Trucking Companies hire recruiters to do just that, so go figure.

Did u ever find a truckdriving job? alot of companies won't let it go no matter how old the felonies are and mvr violations.People make mistakes but in the trucking industry they dont believe in second chances.Guess they think you'll do it again. But alot of companies can't hire certain cases because of insurance reasons.

Your other possible choice is to work with an O/O....
Some MAY help you and some may not?!?!?!? - Never Know....

Just my opinion....

often times it depends on the felony. most companies never accept theft. but if you do have a felony everything else needs to be prefect... employment history, MVR, etc.
