Oil prices keep dropping

Interesting what's going on with oil prices as they continue to drop and possibly to $20 a barrel. I was reading that the banks have heavily invested in U.S. oil drilling and are bracing to be whacked by them folding up operation and going bankrupt.

Iran's sanctions on exporting oil has been lifted and they are scheduled to release up to 1.5 million barrels a day which is massive. All their tanks are full and so are storage ships in ports right now. They need the money and quick.

Opec use to keep everyone in check but I'm reading that's pretty much gone out the window. Russia is taking it up the azz with these low prices. They depend on oil exports.

I'm wondering. Is this all a game that the oil producing countries have done to put everyone in the U.S. out of the business of drilling oil and looking for alternative energy then come back again in the future and raise prices?

I'm sure the cost of fuel has had an impact on lots of people so far like running a generator more and more and things along those same lines.

Yeah,
our 'allies', the Saudis, et al. depend on crude revenues to keep their population in check.
Otherwise they would be openly engaging in terrorism rather than merely financing it on the D/L.
The Kuwaiti asses we saved each get about $40K per year in oil revenues which is why they're able to live large without the menial tasks of working for a living.

If [most of] the OPEC nation states lose oil revenues their economy collapses and their society descends into chaos and reverts to the barbaric sonsovitches they truly are.

Their end game is to route our domestic production so that they once again reign supreme in the world market whereupon they will drive prices through the roof until replacements for the bankrupted frackers are replaced...
rinse and repeat.

But our elected officials can't see past the end of their noses...
and the beat goes on.

Something like 90% of the Saudis national budget is reliant upon oil revenues.

Any fool could see what our leaders turn a blind eye to.

I truly believe that we need a top dog with an itchy finger on the trigger who can double-dog-dare any takers to blink in a Mexican stand off.
Oh, oil is $200 a barrel?
What a coincidence, so is a bushel of corn, wheat, beans or rice.
But, hey! Pork is still a buck.
Who wants a BLT!??
:)

I highly doubt it. Most of those countries have shed too much of each other's blood right now. Iran's busy killing Saudi's and vice-versa. Both are well aware of Russia's plans for them. Indonesia is watching China. Venezuela and Mexico are in deep crap. Not enough trust there to form a Cartel.

Gonna be interesting to see where Sheik Hussein disappears to next year..... or if they just whack him.

What the hell do the words "strategic oil reserve" really mean anyway?

Why don't we have hundreds of thousands of square miles of huge oil tanks located in otherwise useless land like in West Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, etc so we can buy up oil like crazy when it's cheap and tell the terrorist financiers to buzz off when oil comes back up?

They should be filling up every abandoned bunker & missile silo in the country with this cheap oil.

Big enough.

I don't care, because I don't live out there. Been down every interstate out there though. There's plenty of vacant desert wasteland.

When I worked for Digital I did some work for Los Alamos Labs. We had to go out in the field in a jeep. By the way, it was a pristine WWII jeep. They had them everywhere and the motor pool restored them to original condition with flags and everything. Pretty cool.

Anyways, there was sensors everywhere. I mean everywhere!!! Cameras on poles and on the ground.

My wife's uncle works up there. Big brother ain't got nothing on those folks.

Awe but that wasteland as you call it is owned by someone. I like to see you sit down with this guy that parked up in northern part of the state and swap notes He could tell you all about that gas and oil...along with a few others I can think of...LOL

Yes the Natives got the prize piece of real estate in the end. (Casino's) in that wasteland desert.

Another interest fact about this Land of Enchantment is;
New Mexico has the second largest identified uranium ore reserves of any state in the United States.

If you like things that are a bit wild or wooly....You might want to pay this one a visit too.

Now if I had my way about things...In which I do not...But if I had the means (money) and way to travel I be gone all the time exploring the USA. It is grand country has a lot to offer....every state has something special in it.

Now I know better than that....Cause I been to Nebraska twice....LOL I not that green ya know!!!
If you saw anything in Nebraska other than boring fields of corn or that crap-hole city on the east end of I-80, you need to get whatever vehicle you were riding in checked for exhaust leaks. o_O

Or lay off the shrooms.

We have other ways of making cars and trucks run on the black goop from the ground. It is greed and greed alone that's doing this. And we'll never learn. And that's fine too.
