Hi -- I'm a writer working on an article about the many different ways and reasons people get into trucking. I'm interested in hearing from anyone who cares to share their story about why they drive for a living.

Be honest. It was because too much education was required, and you're scared of heights. Why I took up truck driving???? Cause the job of God was taken and this was the next best thing available.

I'd always had the idea in the back of my mind, but didn't do anything about it until I could no longer crawl around in burning buildings.
You're not sorry...you're not sorry at all!Ya,cuz hauling TP around isn't weird....
Sorry man,@Sinister made me do it.
It wasn't a hobby. It was my job. I loved it, but I got paid for it. Well, that and hauling sick and injured people to the hospital after stopping their leaks. You have strange hobbies.
Yeah....yeah, it's all starting to make sense now.I got hit in the head by a soccer ball when I was a kid.
How many times?I got hit in the head by a soccer ball when I was a kid.
Ok wait, this is starting to feel like charity.I got hit in the head by a soccer ball when I was a kid.
How many times?
What's the jet blast like behind one of those things when they're just idling?I got the idea one day when i was pushing back a 747. As the engines where spooling up an pushing back at me, i looked over to the cargo sheds where the trucks pick up and drop air freight. I thought to myself, I bet I could back up one of those big-rigs if I had some practice.
