Lexington KY -Will there ever be a better route from the Bluegrass Parkway to I-64?

Granted, I don't end up there very often, but that crazy time wasting route through Versailles/Lexington is absolutely ridiculous. I know we got some Kentucky folks here who can go put some pressure on a few people to get this fixed!

Seriously, is there any plans at all to build something around all that mess?

And no, I am not going out of route via Louisville to avoid it, so don't even ask...:bullhorn:

Your talking about building a highway through some of the most expensive land in the whole state. Not to mention the cost to uproot them ponys and to cause undue stress on them and maybe never get another Kentucky Derby winner ever from the bluegrass state.

If its the middle of the day, go through Frankfort.

Seems on some board or another the original plans called for it.to run straight up but as [MENTION=8936]Tim[/MENTION] mentions the horse lobby put the kibosh on it.

Can't you get off at Rt 127 and run that up to I-64 near Frankfort?

Or 33 through Versailles and then run 62 (midway road) up to 64?

Mike there are NO PLANS to build around it the horse and race track lobby's won that fight long time ago, you either use it or don't take the load. Or do what the duck said about running the different roads he listed.
