Well my name is Paul and im from stl mo, im trying to get my cdl but i dont wanna spend thousands of dollars on going to a school, i was gonna start at MTC training school here in stl but turned it down, i could start next monday if i change my mind, i just dont like having the 14 month commentit of driving for one company and have to worry about something happening to one of my family members and then have to take a few days off and theen have to pay a big bill. if you guys have any advice about the best place to go or to get my cdl let me know, i just dont wanna pay 6 grand to goto school, thanks

Just about any place that is going to pay for your training is going to require that you sign a commitment.

Your other choices is to check to see if you are eligible for any government grants (free money), or possibly a loan that you can pay back slowly.
