I used to get really going around Chicago on the 294 toll road..

The 294 it Violent Aggressive & and people going way too fast for conditions..

294 might move a few exits then be gridlock again another few miles till open up again .

People literally doing 80/90 mph and slamming on the breaks last second when the brakes lights everybody gotta stop..

Then go weaving across the lanes

Truckers on 294 there's 3 kinds ..

Ya got the old guys hang right out in the "Center Lane" going exactly the "Posted" don't give a crap won't move back over Granny Lane..

Ya got a real billy big rigger in a Long nose Kenworth or Peterbuilt in the left center barreling down 70/80 mph hour and they dont give a crap run granny off into the barrier blocks..

Then ya got my "Favorite" Mr governor chipped truck and he can go just barely point 25 per hour faster than you..

And damn it that "Sob" will ride your sides 5 miles to just barely go faster than you...

When I was younger I used to play chicken with them guys then tie em up because I was watching the road could "anticipate"..

These days I slow down for them guys even flash em back over because it's more frustrating than it's actually worth

This some of the best but on any given freaking day there is a bad enough catarophe involving cars and big truck shut the whole thing down too while they clean it up @Duck knows the 294 like I do..

This was in a Construction Zone 2 years that man "Died" from his injury..

They are that way everywhere. My favorites are the ones that are middle lane riders. Then when you are 50' from the entrance to the coop, they want to act like they didn't know it was there and cut everyone off and then go through at 20 mph when you are supposed maintain 45 and the rest of us have to hit the platform because we were going to slow to be correctly weighed in motion.

When I would see a shitload of trucks going in the ramp, I'd just ride right on by. Florida doesn't have anyone to come out and chase you at night. The chickens are in there BSing and letting the computer do the work.

We don't have sensors in the road, pre-scale. They are embedded in the coop ramp. Every truck has to at least go by the windows, unless you have PrePass and it works.

Here they them on the highway and the offramp but everyone rolls across regardless. Windsor Putnam and Sarnia at least there's someone standing outside at a little both deciding who stays and who goes looking at what they wanna look at etc.

Most of the others they are indoors like you're used to seeing. One day I was crossing Putnam and one of those funny looking dudes with the wet hair pulling a container jumped out and started taking a leak right in the middle of the off ramp lined up for the booth.

We wasted ten minutes getting through the lineup for the booth just to find out nobody was there because they had already snagged a customer.

Another time I was crossing with a loaded pony pup. I got to the booth and the only thing the guy did was ask me what kind of license I had and send me on my way. You don't know how bad I wanted to tell him I had a G2 or some smart ass answer but I figure those guys aren't big on humor.

VA has prescales about half a mile before the ramp at highway speed embedded in the slow lane of the interstate. Another set in the ramp before the arrows indicating which lane they want you in, and then the platform itself.

That's why I never get Prepass green to stay on the interstate but they usually give me the green arrow for the lane that doesn't go to the platform.

Here, when I was out on the road, we would get the guys that were in the middle lane passing you, all of a sudden want to get over in the right lane and slow down to a dangerously slow speed hoping the lights would go off before they got to the ramp. Hell, I have even seen some pull off on the shoulder and park until the lights go off.
Normally I don't really mind going in the scale if I am all legal and that. If I was outlawing, I would just keep going because IMO they looked pretty busy with those other trucks, and I didn't want to pile on to their workload. I mean you got a better than 50/50 chance they are not going to chase you down.
