State highway officials say motorists traveling west on Interstate 40 in east Arkansas need to be alert to a lane closure in Prairie County this week.
A news release from the state Highway and Transportation Department said crews performing guardrail repairs will need to close the outside westbound lane during daytime hours, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Wednesday.
The release said the lane closure would occur near the White River bridge, from mile marks 199 to 202.
The highway agency said the closure should last through Friday.
