TMW Systems Announces Record Month for EDI Usage March 2007 EDI Transactions Up 23% Over Previous Year’s Figure --Continues Long, Sustained Historical Record of EDI Growth

CLEVELAND -- TMW Systems, the largest provider of enterprise management software designed specifically for the trucking industry, today announced that March usage of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) by TMW customers rose a record 23 percent over the same period last year, according to David Wangler, president and chief executive officer.

“March was a great month for EDI at our company, we processed just over a record 1 billion characters,” Wangler said. “This outstanding record clearly demonstrates an increasing demand by shippers to do business with their carriers electronically. Carriers are also finding that EDI is becoming a requirement to do business with even small and medium sized shippers,” Wangler said.

Simply put, EDI involves a set of standards for structuring information (such as orders, confirmations, and invoices) to be electronically exchanged between and within businesses. EDI saves companies time and money by replacing information flows that require a great deal of human interaction and materials. Speed, accuracy, security, system integration, and just-in-time support are also among the many other benefits of EDI. TMW customers, such as Brian Oakley, business analyst, of Baltimore-based Cowan Systems, seem to agree.

“As our business continues to grow, the correlation between volume of business and volume of data entry is direct. EDI has been an obvious solution for our data entry woes and TMW has provided the capabilities to handle all of our EDI needs,” Oakley said. “By molding our EDI process to fit our business needs, TMW's EDI team has helped us improve the accuracy of data entry and satisfy our customers' expectations. The demand for EDI is continuously increasing and we are confident that TMW will help us stay ahead of the curve.”

Nick Gerasimow, chief financial officer at FLS Transport in Montreal, Canada shared similar sentiments.

“EDI has been very important to our business,” Gerasimow said. “It allows us to business with blue-chip Fortune 500 companies, such as Wal-Mart, Procter & Gamble, General Mills, Lowe’s and Home Depot, who might not do business with us unless we are EDI-capable.

Gerasimow said that today FLS uses EDI for virtually their entire business process -- including tendering loads, accepting loads, status updates, invoicing and receiving payments by electronic transfer.

“Before we started working with TMW we had some limited EDI capabilities, but nowhere near as sophisticated as what TMW was able to bring to us. TMW is very knowledgeable and has been very instrumental in setting us up with the EDI capabilities our clients wanted us to have,” he said.
