Created: Friday, August 19th, 2011 04:01 pm Companies involved in the trucking industry are working diligently towards ensuring that big rig fleets are staying within regulations by having the proper equipment and the
lawful amount of freight.
Forwarders have the important task of managing much of the freight that is transported by truckers. Recently, the ExWorks company introduced a new program that will aid forwarding companies in keeping better track of trucking information.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has implemented specific rules and laws that all hauls must adhere to, which needs to be monitored carefully so that drivers stay within legal boundaries, even
those who have undergone CDL training or have extensive experience.
The TSA has passed a rule that trucking companies must update their information in accordance to routes and drivers even faster to maintain a sense of truck driving safety and security. Ex Works' program, called COMPLY, streamlines the data collection process and helps fleet management owners keep their systems
current.
This technology is utilized by more than 2,000 trucking, air travel and intermodal companies to remain within the rules of compliance.
