Truckers who want the feds to know what they think about speed limiters and electronic on-board recorders are running out of time.

Speed limiter comments due March 27

Petitions requesting the government to require speed limiters to be set at 68 mph on big trucks and not be tampered with are being considered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

NHTSA and FMCSA are requesting comments on the petitions for rulemakings from the American Trucking Association and Road Safe America and a group of nine motor carriers. The petitions request devices that would limit the speed of certain trucks and prohibit owners and operators from adjusting the speed limiting devices.

The notice seeking comments was posted on the Federal Register Jan. 26.

It graduated from being an alias to being an admin account for the server guy until he created his own account.
Yeah and screw that cabinover guy. No promotions for him. Not like he's ever done anything but troll the place. 😡

Nope. It will mandate that Canadian trucks run between the hours of 2100-0400. And at speeds no greater than 57mph. Daylight hours will be reserved for U.S based trucking companies.
The Canadian drivers and @Mike will declare that "no one likes you" if you keep this up...

:toothpick:
