WASHINGTON — The average on-highway price of a gallon of diesel jumped another 2.4 cents to $3.825 a gallon for the week ended Oct. 24, according to the Energy Information Administration of the Department of Energy.
That means in the past three weeks, the price has jumped 10.4 cents a gallon for an increase of almost 3 percent.
What’s more the price could continue to climb during the week with oil prices having topped $90 a barrel Monday.
California recorded the biggest increase with the price going up 4.3 cents to $4.096.
