Next on the list: Newsletters

Next on the list will be newsletters. Right now, I am leaning toward having two different newsletters, one for the main website (articles, news, etc..) and one for the forum.

This carpet bombing of posts that you got yesterday, and the regular addition of posts to open up discussion on articles from the website will help in regards to retaining some of the people we pull back in from the initial newsletter sendout. We have close to 14,000 members, and the initial newslettets will go out to many of them, once the list is analyzed.

What they see when they get here will factor into whether they choose to stay subscribed or unsubscribe.

Same will go for any additional people who subscribe to the newsletter via registrations to the website, or via newsletter opt in contact forms.

The goal: Bring back past members, and to keep as many of them as possible as well as new subscribers returning to the website and forum.

I know what you're trying to do but this actively sucks for what forums were originally designed for.

You might run your few members off with this spammy AI/RSS bullshit.

Maybe I'm alone in this thinking but when I click on "new posts" or "new threads" or whatever any of them are called I want to see stuff from humans. I don't want to see a whole page of dumb fake not written by you but you putting your name or the forum's name on them articles about stupid shit.

Ban me if you want but that's my honest opinion about what you've been doing lately.

It's garbage and won't bring in new people.

I'm probably wrong about it but it's annoying and looks like YouTube with the fake articles.

If you get tired of paying the hosting and moderating, let me know and we can have a serious discussion about moving it over and I'll take over because I don't GAF about this place making money, satisfying Google, etc

I just like the few members that are here and sharing our thoughts together.

I am writing my articles.

What I had to do was create a thread for the articles to connect to in order for the system that is integrating the forum and the main website to be properly connected.

Going forward, you will only see new threads like that for each new article connected, which will be no more than an average of 1-2 per day.

That is not an option. I am working on building this up, building the article side up, building the youtube side up, and building up other areas of social media all under the same brand/name. No reason for me to want to give it to someone else.

Truckers Report buries you with job listing and head hunting recruiters if that is more appealing.

I wonder what would happen if people on TR posted negative things about the companies that pay Sam Baradas to let them spam the forum with those recruiting ads. 😅
