New OTR truck driver here

Been out for about a week now on my own. Did some local driving for a couple years, so the main thing I am getting used to is the lifestyle, not the dirving.

Welcome to the forum! I also am doing this trucking thing backwards LOL. I started out local and then went OTR. The biggest thing I had a hard time getting used to was how far it was between turns.
Example local driving go two blocks turn left, Go three blocks and turn right.
In OTR it is like go a few hundred miles and turn right at Chicago make a left Milwaukee. lol
