Does or has anyone worked for or currently drive for Marten Transportation?

I never heard anything bad about them. Their drivers seem pretty courteous out on the roads, especially when they are getting sacked by my "super fast daycab" as one driver put it.... hehe. They run pretty nice trucks too, good luck!

well, we backed out of orientation before it was time to go. I didn't like that they force you to take per diem. they were going to pay us .42 cpm but after per diem its really .39 cpm

Marten does the per diem pay and then charges you .03 cpm for it. They run good equipment, pay detention pay and $100.00 per day layover pay. As for the western regional fleet I average 2,400 miles a week. Im out for 10-12 days then home for 2. All trucks have an apu w/inverter to run your microvave, coffee pot,tv, etc. I get a brand new truck every two years. They have freight liners, petes, and kenworth, but the majority are freight liner cascadias. Paid vacation is one week after first year, and two weeks after two years, all the way up to five weeks for the 20 year guys. Marten is moving away from otr, so its best to get on regional for better miles (imo). Western regional gets the best miles out of all the fleets. Marten is a refer company and we do alot of overnite runs. Example, p/u a load at 8pm and run it thru the nite to the del at 7am. In my case its hard to get normal sleep cause I can't sleep well during the day. Sometimes you will get several loads in a row like my example. If you like to run at nite then you won't have any problems. I should also say that they run electronic logs. You can choose the route you want to run, and you can fuel where you wan't as long as it's a flying j or pilot.

Does Martin have a pet policy?
