Identifying this old truck

Half the trucks we installed cranes on were Brigadiers.

The boss pronounced it "bridge a deer". đŸ˜…
He was correct as it’s named after a an army general rank. It was their thing.

First truck I ever drove was a Jimmy with a 6-71 Detroit. No, not an 8V-71, a 6-71.
Guy that I learned from told me, "Slam your hand in the door first and get good and mad. Then get in and drive it like hell."

The only way that thing like the move is wound up.

So basically you gotta run it like a 2 stroke motocross bike?

I had one when I was a kid.

Somewhere between 8 and 9 million RPM it would take off like a bat out of hell. That little 80cc engine could pull a house up the side of Mt Everest.

Yop.

Nicknamed the streamin' demon for a reason.

My eyes burn just thinking about working on one of these.
