Ours at Van Wyk had Cummins ISX motors and they never derated them. In fact they turned the RPM limiters up from factory 1600 to 1800 RPM for some reason. Loaded to gross, the only trucks that would pass me on an incline were empty.

Then the 2007 emissions turned them into turds, and after 2010 emissions, they were useless junk so they switched to the Volvo engines, which sucked slightly less.

I like the motor in my truck. It's an MP8 supposed to be 445 hp. Nothing to brag about at the choke & puke but keeps me out of trouble.

I would actually buy that if it had 600 miles range. I'd want to cover my worst case scenario.

If it does have 600 miles range, I'll tell you it's too expensive. Because in this economy, F debt.

Yeah it's cool because it looks fairly normal unlike that Tesla Stormtrooper thing.

Nikola looks like the Euro cabovers being made today. IMHO. IOW basically what everyone else with prior truck building experience would be doing over here.

Tesla is what you build when you're 9.

I will try to get some more picks. There really isn't much more to it being as it is not a ICE engine.
