WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Improvements to Interstate 40 will require lane closures in West Memphis this week, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Crews will be installing new signs and removing pavement markings. The work will require Interstate 40 eastbound traffic to be merged into one lane from just east of Highway 118 (mile marker 276) to just east of the Interstate 40/55 interchange (mile marker 178).
The lane closure will be Tuesday, July 30th between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using barrels and warning signs.
Motorists should exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones. Additional travel related information can be found at ArkansasHighways.com.
