Lease Purchase How much money can you make with a lease purchase?

It's simple to do the math. Every time I do it, I figure the driver makes $300 take home a week, does not seem worth it. Your biggest expense, fuel and the lease/insurance, usually 1000.00 to 1500.00. Fuel 7 mpg, $4.00 a gallon. Just averages. Just with those figures, using 3k a week miles, you lose. And about 10% for a maintenance fund. As a company driver you would make 1400.00 gross. Put your money in the bank, buy your own truck after you get a few years experience.
And who in there right mind would do a fleece deal though a carrier:confused-96:. You can't take your toys elsewhere if you ain't getting no miles!!! Liability falls on you and not the company.
If your credit sucks bust your ass and save every penny you can!! And if your credit sucks then work on rebuilding it you'll get a better rate with traditional financing than leasing. There's secured credit cards theres an app called self you pay a rate that you select and you pay it every month and they give you a cd and at the end of the year you get money back and they report to the credit Beaus There's secured loans to

That blanket statement hasn't been true for a while.

Schneider is one of the mega carriers, and you can take your truck somewhere else.

You just need to find out this information before signing ANY lease.

7mpg? Only if you have your right foot in total lead mode. Who in their right mind pays $4.00/gal for fuel - unless you're buying it without a fleet discount in California or the Northeast?

Newer trucks driven reasonably, achieve 8+ mpg, and fleet discounts easily put fuel costs below $2.50/gal. You're also ignoring that most fleets pay a variable fuel surcharge as well.

Better believe it. Proper due diligence on any sort of business deal is essential, and not all lease deals are bad. There are plenty of drivers who have no idea how to make a good lease situation work for them, and can lose money hand over fist without even trying hard..
