The goal for now is to simply close up the huge open areas and slap some temporary shit up across the top of the new steel to keep rain and snow off the wall framing, then finish it "properly" in the spring.

I don't even know what brand of scaffold this is. It's a bunch of mismatched but somewhat compatible rusted crap. Sledge hammering and grease is required to get them to stack. The X pieces are all different and one of them is too long to use.

It belongs to my dad's friend Ozell who lives in Joliet and it's been stored outdoors for the 30 years since he got it from a scrapper in the ghetto.

I made wheels for it when I was using two sections of it in my shop to do the drop ceiling.

Shouldn't matter. the screw jacks just slide up in the bottom. You just need the inside diameter of the tube

Got shit weather in the forecast for tomorrow but it was perfect tonight so I brought out the tripod light.

I can almost leave it like that til spring if I have to. Just gotta put up some more temporary flashing at the top of the steel section so the wood behind it stays dry.

I had this galvanized sheet metal stuff lying around so I stuck it behind the wood and bent it hanging over the top of the steel. Looks like shit but it's just until I can make or find another section of scaffolding and can continue the steel up to the roof line.

Maybe I'll steal a bucket truck. 😉

The guy at Security Lumber asked me if I need a bag. I said they're already in a bag.

He looked confused.
