CARLISLE, Pa. — Daily Express, which provides heavy haul and specialized trucking, has announced a one-time special performance and safety bonus to its owner-operators for 2012.
CEO Todd Long declared the unique bonus was granted to the drivers based on a “year of excellence.”
This bonus was totally unexpected by the drivers and was issued in addition to Daily Express’ long-standing mileage and safety bonus programs, Long said.
“Daily Express had an exceptional year in 2012 exceeding both revenue and safety benchmarks and the owner-operator fleet was a huge part of the success,” he said, adding that the one-time bonus was based on each owner-operator’s individual performance with mileage, earnings and safety as the main factors in determining the payout.
Many owner-operators cleared well over $1,000 with the top earners coming in over $1,200, Long said.
